BS Biology Earns Commendation during PAASCU Resurvey Visit

The Bachelor of Science in Biology 3-year Compressed and 4-year Regular Programs of the CDU College of Arts and Sciences successfully underwent its two-day Resurvey Visit by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) on February 26 to 27, 2026.

The evaluation was led by Dr. Juliet Dalagan, Team Chair, Member of the PAASCU Commission on Tertiary Education, and Vice President for Higher Education of Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan, Cagayan de Oro City.

The resurvey covered key institutional areas, including Leadership and Governance, Quality Assurance, Teaching and Learning, Resource Management, Student Services, External Relations, and Research. During the Closing Meeting on February 27, Dr. Dalagan presented the team’s findings, offering significant commendations for the program’s multifaceted strengths.

Preparation for the visit was spearheaded by Dean Maylen Licatan and Program Chair Mr. Mark Calabdan, with the collaborative support of the Institutional Standards and Quality Assurance Office, the College of Arts and Sciences staff and faculty, and the University Top Management alongside distinguished Office Heads and our dear students. 

While the official decision is pending, the successful resurvey reaffirms the College’s dedication to academic excellence and its holistic approach to nurturing and educating the hearts of future scientists.
