MANDAUE CITY, CEBU — The Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) conducted a Resurvey Visit for the Doctor of Medicine Program of the College of Medicine at Cebu Doctors’ University from August 13 to 15, 2025.
This accreditation by an external quality assurance agency is part of CDU’s continuous pursuit of academic quality, following the recognition granted in 2022 when the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) conferred Level I Accredited Status on the Basic Medical Education Program of CDU, valid until November 2025, for satisfactorily meeting the standards and requirements of PAASCU.

The 2025 resurvey formally opened on the morning of August 13 with the Welcome Program at Room 417 for the team of accreditors led by Dr. Susan P. Nagtalon. Over the course of three days, the accreditors conducted interviews, reviewed documents, and evaluated the program’s operations and outcomes.
At the Closing Program on August 15 at noontime, Dr. Nagtalon commended CDU’s strong financial management system, well-established institutional policies, commendable community outreach initiatives, and the ongoing sustainable development of the new PVL Building. Alongside these, she also offered constructive feedback and recommendations for the continuous improvement of the program.

The official accreditation decision from PAASCU is yet to be announced, pending the completion of the evaluation process. Regardless of the outcome, the Resurvey Visit reaffirms CDU’s commitment to Wellness, Integrity, Service, and Excellence in advancing medical education and preparing future physicians.
